WHAT'S THE DEAL??

Truckee Official is a new Truckee experience site focusing on the arts, culture, community, beauty, people and pets of Truckee that make Truckee, Truckee. 

Want to be featured? Contact us you never know what will peak our interest! We do a mix of paid and pro bono work. About every 6 weeks we select a local person or business to feature-for free! We of course are always available for hire to help tell your story and promote your business. Drop us a line and let us know your story!

We do a mix of pro bono and paid work. About every 6 weeks we highlight a local person/business and tell their story, for free! To make this possible we also work with paying clients to create more in-depth marketing assets. Fees vary depending on the scope of the project but typically start around $1,200.00. We aim to keep the fees as reasonable as possible to help you grow in our community. Drop us a line with any questions. 

 All work will be yours to use for social media and your website and will also be posted on our social media channels and featured on our website. We have over 1,000 highly curated local followers and thousands more interested in the Truckee life!  If the work was done pro bono, all that is asked is you tag us on social media by using @trtuckeeofficial to help grow our audience-and maybe throw our sticker someplace awesome in your workplace.  

When we work together we'll come up with a plan that tells your story. If you're an artist, we'll spend some time together in your studio showing your process and of course your work. If you're a retail or restaurant, we'll capture some of the aspects of your business that show what makes you-you. In most cases, we usually do a short interview to help connect you to your audience.  We typically spend an hour or two creating content on-site. The edit process takes about a week and you'll be included in the process.  

Truckee Official was started buy local photographer/videographer, Court Leve. Court has lived in the area since 2001 and has worked across a variety of businesses ranging from editorial, snow sports to corporate work and advertising. You can view his work here. 

If your work is featured on our platforms, the copyright and ownership remains yours and work will not be used for any other purpose or distributed in any manner without written consent from creator-ever. By submitting your work you agree that you are the owner/creator and have rights to use the work. Your work will be posted on our social media channels and this website. Images posted to social media will remain online and attributed to you. Works posted to Truckee Official's website will be posted generally for 30 days-or longer. Please be sure to include a short bio, your social media handles and also follow us in kind. 

For photography, we ask for 9 images (to fill rows of Instagram) and our website. Images should be no smaller than 3000 pixels on the long edge. Your watermark/signature in a corner is acceptable. Work with watermarks across the frame will not be published.
